Ayyappa Swamy Pooja

The Ayyappa Swamy Pooja is a religious ritual typically performed by a person who observes a 48-day viratham by wearing a sacred Ayyappa Swamy malai. Those who wear the malai and visit Sabari Mala for the first time are called ""Kanni Swamy"". Lord Ayyapa Swamy, the son of Mohini and Lord Shiva, is invoked during the pooja using mantras, Namavelis and Archana. The Padi Pooja is performed by chanting slokas, lighting lamps, and offering ghee to the lord. The pooja is usually performed from December to January, starting from Vrichika 1st and continuing for 41 days. The Ayyappa Swamy Pooja helps to attain self-control, self-esteem, and mental mastery, leading to success in life. It also helps to reduce the ill effects of Shani Graha in one's horoscope and purifies the mind, body, and soul, promoting a healthy and happy life.
